The Committee on Development and International Economic Relations held its twelfth session on 11 May. The session was chaired by Professor Dr Dragor Hiber.

The Committee discussed and in principle endorsed the Bill Ratifying the Agreement on Trade in Textiles concluded between the Republic of Serbia and the European Union (No. 400-938/05) and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Enterprise Registration Act (No. 300-408/05). The Bills were presented by officials of the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of International Economic Relations.

The Committee endorsed the Report on the Activities of the Republic Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship for the period from 1 October to 31 December 2004. The Committee adopted a Conclusion recommending the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and especially the Ministry of the Economy, to consider possibilities for capacity-building and supporting activities of the Republic Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship, as a service for small and medium sized enterprises and entrepreneurs, in providing non-financial support and application of assets of Republic financial institutions for the sector of small and medium sized enterprises and entrepreneurs. The Committee is to continue following the implementation of policies of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in the field of developing small and medium sized enterprises and entrepreneurship.
