At its session held on 4 May, the Finance Committee endorsed in principle the Insurance Bill, Bills Amending and Modifying the Act on the National Bank of Serbia and the Act on the Securities and Other Financial Instruments Market, as well as Bills Amending and Modifying the Public Purchases Act, the Excise Act and the Tax Procedure and Tax Administration Act.

The Committee discussed but did not endorse the Bill on the National Corporation for Housing Credit Insurance, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee proposed the formation of working body, composed of experts, auditors and jurists specialising in property-rights relations, to be charged with controlling political parties’ financial reports. This proposal received the support of the Chairman of the National Assembly and the Minister of Finance in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee’s session was chaired by its chairman, Nenad Bogdanovic.
