14th session of the Education Committee
At the session held on 19 January, members of the Education Committee were acquainted with the report of the Minister of Education and Sports, Slobodan Vuksanovic, on the introduction of “Bosnian language with elements of national culture” as an elective subject in schools in the municipalities of Sjenica, Tutin and Novi Pazar.
At the session held on 19 January, members of the Education Committee were acquainted with the report of the Minister of Education and Sports, Slobodan Vuksanovic, on the introduction of “Bosnian language with elements of national culture” as an elective subject in schools in the municipalities of Sjenica, Tutin and Novi Pazar.
The Education Committee proposed a decision regulating the manner of appointment of the chairperson of the National Education Council and members appointed to three- and six-year terms. According to the proposal, the chairperson of the National Education Council should be appointed from among the ranks of members of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, professors of all universities in Serbia, the Serbian Philosophical Society and the Councils of ethnic minorities. The Committee also proposed that one half of all members of the National Education Council should be appointed to three-year terms, while the other half should receive six-year appointments.
