15th Sitting of the Health and Family Committee
At the sitting held on 22 May, the members of the Health and Family Committee endorsed the initiative to address the issue of medical treatment of children abroad.
In addition to the Committee members, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Milos Jeftovic, Director of the Republic Health Insurance Fund Momcilo Babic and representatives of the association of parents of children suffering from malignant and rare diseases also took part in the debate on the issue.
The Committee concluded to request Information from the Ministry of Health and the Republic Health Insurance Fund on the analysis of the situation in the sphere of healthcare and health insurance related to the issue of medical treatment of children abroad, accompanied by a proposal of measures on how to address the issue, setting 15 July 2013 as the deadline.
The sitting was chaired by Prof. Dr Dusan Milisavljevic, Committee Chairman.
