15th Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee

At the sitting held on 11 December 2017 the Security Services Control Committee reviewed and adopted the Military Security Agency Activity Report for the period 1 April – 30 September 2017.

The Security Services Control Committee ascertained that the Military Security Agency had in the reporting period employed efficient counter-intelligence and security measures to protect the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces and the country in line with the law. In the reporting period the Military Security Agency had successfully realized all the tasks within its purview ensuring a timely discovery and assessment of the indicators of security threats to the defence system and employed efficient counter-intelligence and security measures to protect the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.

The members of the Security Services Control Committee gave a positive assessment of the work of the members of the Military Security Agency, their engagement on the realization of their key tasks in opposing organized crime and corruption, security and counter-intelligence protection of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.

The Security Services Control Committee will continue to actively supervise the work of the security services so as to strengthen civil and democratic control and oversight of the work of the security services.
