19th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 6 July, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government discussed the withdrawal of the proposal it had forwarded to the National Assembly concerning the candidate lists for the election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board members.


At the 19th sitting held on 6 July 2017, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government decided to withdraw the proposals submitted to the National Assembly concerning the:

- candidate list for the election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board member submitted by President of the Republic Tomislav Nikolic, and

- candidate list for the election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board member jointly submitted by the Ombudsman and the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.

The Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government decided to withdraw its proposal contained in the Report submitted to the National Assembly so that President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic, as authorized nominator, could submit his own proposal for the election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board member.

The Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government reviewed the candidate proposal for the election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board member jointly submitted by Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic and Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection Rodoljub Sabic. As Sasa Jankovic had on 7 February 2017 resigned to the post of Ombudsman, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government decided to withdraw its proposal contained in the Report submitted to the National Assembly so that the authorized nominators could submit a new proposal for the election of Anti-Corruption Agency Board member.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Slavisa Bulatovic, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Djordje Komlenski, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Zarko Micin, Miletic Mihajlovic, Jovan Palalic, Aleksandra Majkic, Sreto Peric and Katarina Rakic.
