19th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee
At the sitting held on 8 May, the members of the Culture and Information Committee reviewed the Ministry of Culture and the Media Activity Information for the period 1 January – 31 March 2018.
Vukosavljevic also spoke about the completion of the Towns in Focus 2018 public call resulting in the acceptance of 22 projects from as many towns and municipalities out of 75 applications, and which is a strong push toward decentralizing cultural life in Serbia by offering assistance to local self-governments for the development of cultural life through infrastructure, reconstruction, adaptation, as well as organization of events, stressing as positive the fact that, judging from the number of applications received, the local self-governments have this year shown a markedly higher interest in the project. He also spoke about the completion of the Strategy of Cultural Development and the public call for funding or co-funding of cultural heritage projects and international activities.
Following a discussion the Committee members adopted the Ministry of Culture and the Media Activity Information for the period 1 January – 31 March 2018 by majority vote.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Mirko Krlic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Ana Stevanovic, Vladimir Djuric, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Srbislav Filipovic, Dragana Kostic, Dr Predrag Jelenkovic, Snezana Paunovic, Aleksandar Jugovic, Stanija Kompirovic and Djordje Vukadinovic.
