At its sitting held on 8 May 2006, the Culture and Information Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia established a list of deputies nominated for membership on the Programming Council of the SerbianBroadcasting Institution.

The National Assembly is to elect 18 members of the Programming Council – 12 at the suggestion of the Broadcasting Agency (RBA), and six from among the ranks of the deputies.
Deputies’ Groups have nominated one deputy each; the list of nominees is comprised of Rajko Baralic, Aleksandar Lazarevic, Milorad Belic, Vukosav Tomasevic, Meho Omerovic and Dr Dragor Hiber.
The RBA had sent the National Assembly an amended version of its Decision on Nomination for Membership on the Programming Board of the Serbian Broadcasting Institution. The Decision lists the following as nominees: Professor Dr Jovan Arandjelovic, advertising agent Lazar Boskovic, actor Nebojsa Dugalic, art historian Dr Sonja Zimonjic, political analyst Dr Djuro Kovacevic, musician Jovan Kolundzija, athlete Nenad Manojlovic, Professor Dr Jovan Miric, Professor Dr Milovan Mitrovic, Professor Dr Ivan Nikcevic, playwright Cedomir Petrovic, and journalist Milorad Roganovic.
