39th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 20 May 2021, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the bills on the agenda of the 12th Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021 in detail.

The Committee considered the Bill amending and modifying the Anti-Discrimination Law, submitted by the Government, in detail, and found all 12 of the amendments submitted to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members went on to consider the 69 amendments submitted to the Bill on Gender Equality, submitted by the Government, and found all of them to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also considered the Bill on Renewal of Cultural-Historic Heritage and Development Incentives in Sremski Karlovci, submitted by the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, in detail and found both of the two amendments submitted to it to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members also found the one amendment submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Planning and Construction, submitted by the Government, to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zeljko Tomic, Olja Petrovic, Vuk Mircetic, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Dubravka Kralj, Dr Balint Pasztor, Toma Fila, Srbislav Filipovic, Ilija Matejic, Milenko Jovanov, Djordje Todorovic and Violeta Ocokoljic.
