3rd session of the Constitutional Issues Committee
At its session held on 23 December, the Constitutional Issues Committee discussed the report on the activities to date of the Sub-committee charged with drafting the new Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.
At its session held on 23 December, the Constitutional Issues Committee discussed the report on the activities to date of the Sub-committee charged with drafting the new Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.
The session was chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Predrag Markovic.
After opinions and suggestions on the activities of the Sub-committee were voiced, the Constitutional Issues Committee authorised the Sub-committee to continue work on preparing the initial draft of the proposal for amending the Constitution. The Sub-committee is to prepare a working version of the Draft Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, which would then be established by the Constitutional Issues Committee.
The Proposal for Amending the Constitution, accompanied by the Proposal of the New Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, would be submitted to the National Assembly by the prescribed number of at least 50 deputies.
