At its session held on 23 June 2005, the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for May 2005, along with the programme of activities of the Agency for June 2005.

The Committee’s session discussed the report on engaged consultants requested by the Committee from the Privatisation Agency. Having discussed the report, the Committee recommended to the Privatisation Agency to compile a list of consultancies barred from involvement in tenders, as they do not have a track record of successful privatisations in Serbia.

Responding to a request made by the Serbian Association of Small Shareholders to re-assess the privatisation process, re-valuate capital and terminate contracts with buyers of 27 companies, the Committee advised the Association that capital re-valuation was not the right option, and that share value was best tried in the market.
