4th session of the Constitutional Commission

At the fourth session, held on 20 May, the Constitutional Commission decided, at the suggestion of the Sub-committee on Basic Issues and Co-ordination, not to compose a constitutional declaration.


At the fourth session, held on 20 May, the Constitutional Commission decided, at the suggestion of the Sub-committee on Basic Issues and Co-ordination, not to compose a constitutional declaration. Members of the Commission also gave support to the Sub-committee’s proposal for the Constitution to comprise the following parts: Preamble, Basic Provisions or Basic Principles, Human and Civic Rights and Liberties, Social and Economic Ordering, Form of Government or Organisation of (State) Government, Territorial Organisation, Guarantees of Constitutionality or Constitutionality and Legality (Rule of Law), Making Changes to the Constitution, and Final Provisions.
