50th session of the Privatisation Committee
On 4 November 2005, the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held a session to discuss the Report on the Activities of the Central Securities Registry, Depot and Clearing for September 2005.The Committee also discussed reports submitted by the Privatisation Agency on the privatisation process of Smederevska Palanka-based Gosa FOM, on the conduct of the Agency in relation to Raca-based Izolma, on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Bac-based Arma Joint-Stock Company, on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Ljig-based Elgrakop Joint-Stock Company, as well as on the conduct of the Agency in relation to this company after 16 September 2005, and, finally, on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Loznica-based FAK Joint-Stock Company.

The Committee also discussed reports submitted by the Privatisation Agency on the privatisation process of Smederevska Palanka-based Gosa FOM, on the conduct of the Agency in relation to Raca-based Izolma, on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Bac-based Arma Joint-Stock Company, on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Ljig-based Elgrakop Joint-Stock Company, as well as on the conduct of the Agency in relation to this company after 16 September 2005, and, finally, on the monitoring of fulfilment of contractual obligations of the buyer of Loznica-based FAK Joint-Stock Company.
Members of the Privatisation Committee also discussed the report, submitted by the Privatisation Agency and the consultancy Eukons, relating to the request of the trade union and director of Vrbas-based Vojvodinapromet for the privatisation process to be accelerated, and recommended to the Agency to speed up the proceedings.
The session also discussed the report of the Ministry of the Economy on the monitoring of the conduct of the Privatisation Agency in the privatisation by tender of Stara Pazova-based Napredak Joint-Stock Company, as well as the request of the chairman of the Independent Trade Union and the Nezavisnost Trade Union organisations at Belgrade-based Metalservis Holding Joint-Stock Company to re-examine the process of share takeover by takeover bid.
The session, chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Nikola Novakovic, was attended by officials of the Ministry of the Economy, the Privatisation Agency, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Central Registry, as well as officials of companies discussed by the Committee.
