56th sitting of the Privatisation Committee
At its sitting held on 13 March 2006 the Privatisation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia endorsed the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on activities of the Privatisation Agency for February 2006, along with the Programme of Activities of the Privatisation Agency for March 2006.The sitting also saw the endorsement of the Report of the Ministry of the Economy on activities of the Share Fund of the Republic of Serbia, and the Report on activities of the Central Securities Registry, Depository and Clearing for February 2006.Committee members discussed issues cited by the Share Fund in its report of 23 January.

An exhaustive discussion resulted in no conclusions, as the Committee did not have a decision-making quorum; however, discussion of the matter is to continue at the Privatisation Committee’s next sitting, scheduled for 16 March 2006.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee’s vice-chairman, Miodrag Stamenkovic, and attended by officials of the Ministry of the Economy, the Privatisation Agency, the Share Fund, the Tax Administration, and the Central Securities Registry, Depository and Clearing.
