6th session of the Committee on Science and Technological Development

At its sixth session, the Committee on Science and Technological Development discussed reports on the activities of the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection in 2004.The Minister of Science and Environmental Protection, Dr Aleksandar Popovic, presented the report, and acquainted the deputies with the work and financing of scientific institutions.


At its sixth session, the Committee on Science and Technological Development discussed reports on the activities of the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection in 2004.

The Minister of Science and Environmental Protection, Dr Aleksandar Popovic, presented the report, and acquainted the deputies with the work and financing of scientific institutions. Special attention was paid to the lack of professionally trained experts and the participation of Serbian experts in scientific projects and international funding competitions.

Mr Popovic stressed that not enough funding was provided for research work. He also underlined that Serbia needed more landfill sites.
