Botsan-Kharchenko Delivers Letter of Russian State Duma Speaker to Dacic

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko delivered a letter of the Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin congratulating National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic on taking up his new position and wishing him success. The letter stresses that the members of the State Duma attach great importance to the cooperation with their Serbian colleagues within various parliamentary formats with the aim of developing a strategic partnership between our countries and strengthening regional stability and security.

Acknowledging that the cooperation under the auspices of the Joint Cooperation Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation should be continued, the officials agreed that the parliamentary body’s next meeting should be held in Belgrade at the beginning of next year.

They also discussed the current health situation with the expectation that its stabilisation would lead to the realisation of the planned high-level bilateral visits.
