Brazilian Ambassador in Farewell Visit with National Assembly Speaker
The National Assembly Speaker, Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic, received the Ambassador of Brazil to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Alexandre Addor Neto, in a farewell visit.
Assessing his mandate as Ambassador to Serbia, Neto deemed it one of the most intense experiences of his diplomatic career.
National Assembly Speaker, Dr Nebojsa Stefanovic agreed that the two countries’ governments and parliaments really need to become better acquainted and their people need to learn more about one another, proposing that Serbia’s economic potential should be presented in Brazil. Stefanovic said that Brazil’s economy is among the strongest, following a constant growth trend. Speaking of Serbia’s economy, Stefanovic said that the country is introducing measures to strengthen the economy, opining that the country had lately boosted its bilateral economic cooperation but adding that it still has room to advance, because he believes it has many products that could be placed on the Brazilian market. The National Assembly Speaker declared the list of the Brazilian Parliament’s friendship group with Serbia impressive, thanking Brazil for its principled decision not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and opining that it was not merely adherence to international law but a sign of Brazil’s true friendship for Serbia.
