The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, sent congratulations to Igor Radojicic on the latter’s election as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. Markovic quoted from his congratulation letter sent on 1 March 2006, when Mr Radojicic was first elected, adding:

‘It is a rare pleasure for a head of a high national institution, such as the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, to be able to offer heartfelt congratulations to someone on their re-election, in words that have kept their meaning, in 2006, such an important year for the entire region, and after eight months and everything that happened during that period.’

Markovic wished Radojicic efficiency in the work of the Parliament he chairs, adding it should be an example of ‘democratic dialogue and joint efforts that transcend individual and party political interests.’
