Defence and Internal Affairs Committee Chairperson Talks to Head of OSCE Mission to Serbia
Defence and Internal Affairs Committee Chairperson Marija Obradovic met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Peter Burkhard and discussed the Committee’s scope and activities, especially its control duties.
The Defence and Internal Affairs Committee Chairperson informed the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia about the activities the Committee had conducted and planned to conduct in the near future. Within its control duty, the Committee deliberates on the quarterly reports submitted by the ministers of defence and the interior, and the Committee members also pay supervisory visits to different sectors of the military and the police, said Marija Obradovic. The Committee Chairperson said that in the upcoming period the Committee would be discussing the effects of the implementation of certain laws. The Defence and Internal Affairs Committee also considers the protection against violence against women and domestic violence very important, as well as the monitoring of the implementation of the Brussels Agreement in the security sector, said Obradovic in the course of the meeting.
