Delegation of the Russian Duma visits National Assembly
A delegation of the Foreign Relations Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, headed by the chairman of the Committee, Konstantin Yosifovich Kosachov, paid a visit to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

The Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, welcomed the Russian parliamentary delegation, saying that
The chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Gordana Comic, and members of the Committee acquainted the Russian delegation with Assembly legislative activities and Serbia’s priorities in the coming period. Special attention was paid to solving the crisis in Serbia’s southern province, harmonisation of Serbian legislation with EU standards and, and the economic situation in Serbia.
The Russian delegation initiated a meeting in Moscow at the end of the year between members of foreign affairs committees of countries in the region, to discuss political and economic issues. Invitations are to be sent to the Parliament of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, assemblies of member states, as well as to provincial assemblies.
