Democratic Party Parliamentary Group Head Talks to Israeli Deputy Interior Minister
The Head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Borislav Stefanovic, met with the Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs of the State of Israel, Faina Kirshenbaum.
The Head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group declared the relations between Serbia and Israel traditionally good and friendly. Speaking of the position of the Jewish people in Serbia, Stefanovic stated that anti-Semitism is not welcome in Serbia and the state must lead a decisive battle against the phenomenon. As regards the Euro-integration process and the relationship between Serbia and Brussels he stressed that European Union membership is Serbia’s strategic goal.
The Israeli Deputy Interior Minister agreed that the Serbian and Jewish people share strong historic relations and thanked Stefanovic for his attitude to the Jewish people and anti-Semitism in Serbia.
