Deputies’ Manual presented
The Administrative Service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, with the assistance of OSCE Parliamentary Support Programme, today organised a seminar for newly-elected deputies to the National Assembly at the Assembly building.

The secretary of the National Assembly, Marko Danilovic, presented the Deputies’ Manual, prepared in co-operation with OSCE, containing useful information for deputies.
Peter Vanhout, former member of the House of Representatives of the Belghian Parliament, and now engaged in OSCE’s Parliamentary Support Programme, spoke about the role and responsibilities of members of parliament, including parliament’s legislative and representative roles.
Senior OSCE Parliamentary Advisor, Johann Homs, former deputy secretary general of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands Parliament, spoke about the significance and role of parliamentary committees in modern parliamentary affairs.
Mr Danilovic thanked all those who took part in the creation of the Deputies’ Manual, expressing his wish for it to be of use to deputies in performing their office.
