The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Marina Ragus attended the 33rd anniversary of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka last night.
Deputy Speaker Ragus said that today, more than ever, we have to speak about togetherness, appreciate peace and stability because what we have to build is a completely different path, the way the enemies of the Serbian people do not expect.
“We should not stand apart, we should multiply and come together and bravely and wisely defend our national and state interest. There were hard times behind us and hard times lie ahead, that is why today we have to make prudent and wise decisions for the generations to come”, Ragus said.
She added that it is difficult to find the words to mark this jubilee, because these are 33 years of innocent victims and people who gave their lives defending the Republic of Srpska. The path the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska committed themselves to defending the Dayton Accords, is the path to defend the right to life, freedom, peace, dignity, human and civil rights.
“I urge you to surprise everyone who joined forces to seal the fate of Serbs living on this territory, for an untold time, and to show them that this path is better than any other. Long live Srpska, long live Serbia,” Ragus concluded.
At the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of its establishment, the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska promoted the monograph “Armature of Sovereignty” which contains the acts the MPs had voted in favour of since the foundation of the parliament of the Republic of Srpska.
Deputy Speaker Ragus visited Banja Luka in the capacity of envoy of the National Assembly Speaker, at the invitation of the Speaker National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic.
