Dr Orlic and Milton Dick: Australia and Serbia Share Traditionally Good Relations
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic met today in Kigali, on the margins of the 145th IPU Assembly, with the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Milton Dick.
The officials concluded that the bilateral relations between the two countries based on friendship and alliance in the two world wars, are traditionally good and follow a constantly upward trend.
They spoke about the possibilities for advancing cooperation in a number of fields, primarily the interparliamentary sphere. Dr Orlic said he expected the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Australia would be set up soon, and that it would be both large and active. The officials also expressed readiness to exchange top-level visits which would be the parliaments’ contribution to the advancement of overall relations between the two countries.
