Dr Orlic greeted the participants and congratulated the winners of the Cup, including the Belgrade Mathematical Grammar School team which was declared the best in the field of mathematics and which the National Assembly Speaker presented with the winners’ cup.

In his address, the National Assembly Speaker thanked the Mathematical Grammar School for representing and promoting the Republic of Serbia in the world, as well as for the fact that it has been training exceptional mathematicians, physicists, computer scientists and top experts in numerous fields for decades, which the Republic of Serbia today, he stressed, both respects and supports. "Everything we do today is our pledge for a better and more successful future and that future is, above all, you: young, talented and smart people. That is why it would be most important for our country that you build and fight for your future, your life, your professional career and all the new victories that definitely lie ahead in the years to come, in your own country, your only Serbia. This school of national importance has the support of its state today and you can count on that support in the future as well," said Dr Orlic.

He told the guests of Belgrade and the Mathematical Grammar School that they are always welcome in Serbia and that they will always have their greatest friend in Serbia.

In the course of the ceremony, the Principal of the Mathematical Grammar School, Mirjana Katic, presented the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with a certificate of appreciation for supporting the organisation of the Cup, which was received by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

More than a hundred competitors from Croatia, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia took part in this year's Mathematical Grammar School Cup, the largest competition of its kind in Serbia and the region.
