Dr Vladimir Orlic at Inauguration of President of Guatemala

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic was in Guatemala today, where, as the envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, he attended the inauguration of the President of the Republic of Guatemala Bernardo Arevalo de Leon.

At the ceremony, Dr Orlic thanked President de Leon for the invitation to the inauguration, conveyed congratulations, as well as wishes for the success and well-being of the Republic of Guatemala.

The National Assembly Speaker conveyed assurances that the two countries would continue to strengthen their more than 140 years of friendship, characterised by mutual understanding, appreciation and support on all issues of importance. In that regard, Dr Orlic also thanked President de Leon for the Republic of Guatemala’s principled support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.

In the course of the inauguration in Guatemala, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia met with the Foreign Secretary of the United Mexican States Alicia Barcena, Secretary General of the Organization of American States Luis Almagro, Speaker of the House of Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco Rachid Talbi El Alami, and many other world officials who also attended the ceremony.
