Fifth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, convened the Fifth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for 10 a.


The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, convened the Fifth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for 10 a.m. on Friday 26 March 2004.

The following agenda was set for the session:

1. Proposal of the Resolution on Kosovo and Metohia of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by chairpersons of all Deputies’ Groups at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

The session was attended by Vojislav Kostunica and Miroljub Labus, respectively the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ministers in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as Nebojsa Covic, chairman of the Coordinating Body of Serbia and Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohia.

At the beginning of the joint discussion of the proposed Resolution, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Vojislav Kostunica, reported on the situation in Kosovo and Metohia; according to an agreement reached earlier, all chairpersons of Deputies’ Groups took part in the subsequent discussion.

When debate ended, Chairman Markovic called an immediate vote.

The National Assembly passed the Proposal of the Resolution on Kosovo and Metohia of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, whereupon Mr Markovic concluded the Fifth Session of the First Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2004.
