Fifth Sitting of the Committee on the Rights of the Child

At the sitting held on 18 December, the Committee on the Rights of the Child adopted the Committee’s 2013 Activity Plan Proposal.


The Committee members proposed that the adopted Activity Plan be more concrete i.e. they asked that the activities the Committee would undertake in the upcoming period be specified.
The Committee members also accepted the proposal to create working groups within the Committee which would follow the implementation of the Law on Social Welfare, the segment related to the development of community services, Law on the Basis of the System of Education and Upbringing, the segment on inclusion, as well as the Domestic and Criminal Code, the segment related to juvenile delinquency. They also agreed that the parliamentary groups should propose the members who would comprise the working groups and submit their proposals to the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
At the sitting the Committee members also agreed that the Committee should donate the two computers, two printers and clothes the National Assembly had received, to Anton Skala elementary school from Belgrade and the Children’s Shelter.

The sitting was chaired by Ljiljana Lucic, Committee Deputy Chairperson.
