At the sitting held on 11 December, the members of the Administrative Committee considered the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 1 – National Assembly.

National Assembly Secretary Veljko Odalovic said that the 2010 Budget intends somewhat more than 1.5 billion RSD for the National Assembly and its support services i.e. 15 million less than this year. Elaborating the items of the National Assembly’s 2010 Financial Plan he stressed that the funds were allocated according to the planned Assembly sessions and the activity plans of the Assembly committees and Assembly support services in the upcoming year. Odalovic also pointed out the request for additional funds to finance the National Assembly’s obligations stemming from membership in international organisations and stressed that there was no room to increase the number of permanently employed deputies at the Assembly, because that would create certain problems.

Following a discussion, the Committee endorsed the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 1 – National Assembly, and unanimously adopted the report it would forward to the Finance Committee.

In the continuation, the Committee members shall discuss the Report on the expenditures incurred at the National Assembly in the period April-June and July-September 2009.
