First Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee
The Security Services Control Committee held its first sitting on 24 July 2012. As stipulated in Article 25 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the sitting was convened by the National Assembly Speaker, MA Nebojsa Stefanovic.
Pending the election of Committee Chairperson, the sitting was chaired by the oldest Committee member, MP Meho Omerovic, from the Social Democratic Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group.
By a majority of votes, the Committee members elected MP Jadranka Joksimovic, from the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group, Committee Chairperson, and will elect the Committee Deputy Chairperson at one of the upcoming sittings.
