At the fourth sitting, held on 9 October 2008, the Education Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed in principle and detail the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Higher Education, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dr Zoran Sami, and attended by Dr Zarko Obradovic, Minister of Education and representative of the submitters.

The Committee ruled, by a majority of votes, to propose that the National Assembly accept the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Higher Education in principle.

The Committee members discussed the amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Higher Education submitted by deputies Goran Mihajlovic and Jagoda Jorga.
