Gojkovic Meets with South African Parliament Speaker
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the South African Republic (SAR) Baleka Mbete, currently visiting Serbia.
Gojkovic thanked SAR for its principled position on and continued support of Serbia's territorial integrity, highlighting the country’s commitment to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and implementation of the agreed upon solutions.
Mbete underlined the importance of parliamentary contacts for the concretisation of overall bilateral cooperation in many areas, based on the historically friendly relations.
Gojkovic and Mbete agreed that the two parliaments should sign a cooperation agreement to boost interparliamentary ties and cooperation in international parliamentary organisations, cooperation of the women’s parliamentary networks, and in the sphere of ratification of international agreements.
