Gojkovic Sends Telegrams of Condolences to Russian Federation Council Chairperson and Duma Speaker

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic sent telegrams of condolences to Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, on the assassination of Russian Ambassador Andrey Gennadyevich Karlov in Ankara.


“We were deeply shocked to receive the news of the criminal act of assassination of the Ambassador in Ankara. On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself, please allow me to extend our deepest condolences on the tragic event to You and the Russian people.

The Republic of Serbia is dedicated to defending peace and security and most severely condemns any and all acts of extremism and terrorism, resolute in its support of peace and security.

Please convey our most sincere condolences to the family of Ambassador Andrey Karlov in these sad moments.”
