Green Parliamentary Group Meets with Environmental Civil Society Organizations

The members of the Green Parliamentary Group, in cooperation with the coordinating team of the Green Chair NGO network, had a series of informal meetings with representatives of civil society organizations involved in environmental protection and advancement.

The representatives of the civil society organizations informed the MPs about the situation at the local level, burning issues and environmental initiatives. They spoke about their possible involvement with the Green Parliamentary Group and Environmental Protection Committee.

The MPs briefed the representatives of the civil society organizations on the work of the Green Parliamentary Group and the Environmental Protection Committee’s scope of activity, as well as the mechanisms at the MPs’ disposal.

The meeting, organized with the support of CSOnnect support programme conducted by the Regional Environmental Centre, was attended by MPs Dubravka Filipovski, Predrag Jelenkovic, Nada Lazic, Olena Papuga, Gordana Comic and Sonja Pavlovic.

The informal Green Parliamentary Group comprises MPs from different political parties gathered around the idea of environmental protection and sustainable development, actively promoting European standards in the field.
