Head of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba Meets with Cuban Ambassador to Serbia
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, met today, at the National Assembly House, with the Cuban Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Mercedes Martinez Valdes.
Ambassador Martinez Valdes informed the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group on her activities and plans for this year considering that, she said, she was nearing the end of her four-year mandate in Serbia. She said that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Cuba are good and announced an exchange of high-level visits. Martinez Valdes also added that she was pleased by the recent establishment of a Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia at the Cuban Parliament.
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic noted that Serbia and Cuba share traditionally friendly relations, hoping that cooperation between the two parliaments’ friendship groups would contribute to the development of overall bilateral relations.
Stojmirovic also suggested establishing closer cooperation between Serbian and Cuban higher education institutions.
