Judges elected to office for the first time at the Third Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2022, held on 9 December 2022, took the oath of office today before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic.

The National Assembly Speaker expressed his conviction that during their mandate the newly-elected judges would perform their duty independently and without bias, in line with the law and Constitution, following only their conscience, to ensure a just trial and fair treatment for every citizen and contribute to the reputation the judicial office in the Republic of Serbia. “I believe that in the course of your three-year mandate in courts of general and special jurisdiction, as newly-elected bearers of judicial office, you will significantly contribute to the continued reform of the judiciary system, to build an independent, modern and efficient judiciary and advance the rule of law as a whole”, told the National Assembly Speaker to newly-elected judges.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by President of the Supreme Court of Cassation and the High Judicial Council Jasmina Vasovic, Deputy President of the High Judicial Council Marija Arandjelovic Juresa, elective members of the High Judicial Council from the ranks of judges Vukica Kuzic, Gordana Veljovic and Zak Pavlovic, and Deputy Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dragana Odalovic.
The oath was taken by judges of the basic courts in Prokuplje, Ruma, Sremska Mitrovica, Senta, Trstenik, Arandjelovac, Valjevo, Vrsac, Velika Plana, Zajecar, Raska, Lazarevac, Stara Pazova, Veliko, Gradiste, Cacak, Smederevo and Bor, judges of the Misdemeanour and Third Basic court in Belgrade, as well as the judges of the commercial courts in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Cacak and Nis
