Marking the feast of St Sava, patron saint of Serbian schools, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, today met secondary school students from the town of Krusevac.
During their visit to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the students toured the Assembly building, saw a short film on the Assembly’s activities, and, finally, talked with Mr Markovic.
The Assembly Chairman told the visitors about the functioning of the parliament, and reminded them that rules, both in schools and in parliament, existed solely to be obeyed. He underlined that laws had to be obeyed and implemented, or else changed. Mr Markovic reminded the students that St Sava, apart from being one of the founders of the Serbian nation, was also one of its first lawgivers.
