MP Vladimir Djordjevic Meets with Turkish Ambassador to Serbia
MP and member of the National Assembly delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Vladimir Djordjevic, met today with the Ambassador of Turkey to Serbia, HE Ilhan Saygili, at the National Assembly.
The officials jointly assessed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Turkey are at a high level, despite disagreements on certain topics, such as the status of Kosovo-Metohija, agreeing that it is necessary talk and resolve all open issues and problems peacefully.
Djordjevic and Saygili also discussed the current situation in Serbia, prospects for resolving the social and political crisis, as well as global geopolitical developments. The Turkish Ambassador said that it is important for Serbia to be stable, as this ensures the stability of the entire Western Balkans region.
During the conversation, Ambassador Ilhan Saygili called on Vladimir Djordjevic to support the Turkish city of Gaziantep, which has been nominated for the "Europe Prize", awarded annually by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, noting that it is a sister city to Belgrade, rich in history, culture and gastronomy.
