National Assembly Delegation at CFSP/CSDP Interparliamentary Conference
A National Assembly delegation headed by Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Foreign Affairs Committee member, and including Dragan Markovic, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, MA Milovan Drecun, Chairman of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, and Darko Jovanovic, Deputy Chairman of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, took part in the Interparliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and the Common Security and Defence Policy (IPC for CFSP/CSDP), held in Warsaw, Poland, this year, from 23 to 25 March.
On the first day of the Interparliamentary Conference, our delegation successfully participated in many of the sessions on the agenda. Head of the delegation Dunja Simonovic Bratic spoke at Session I: Protecting and securing the European Union, Hybrid threats as an external factor destabilizing Europe.
MA Milovan Drecun, Chairman of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, spoke at the Urgent debate on current issues: The future of transatlantic relations.
At the second day of the Interparliamentary Conference, Dragan Markovic, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, spoke at Session III: Strengthening European defence in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine. European Union Armed Forces - a need or an alternative?
As the Conference was dominated by violations of international law, our delegation reminded the attending of the anniversary of the bombings of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia which begun in March 1999, when the values and tenets of international law were grossly violated, without UN Security Council decision and contrary to the UN Charter.
