National Assembly Delegation to Attend NATO PA Defence and Security Committee Meeting

The Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Dragan Sormaz and standing delegation member Vladimir Djukanovic will be taking part in the joint meeting of the NATO PA Defence and Security Committee and Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group in Lisbon and Madrid, 24 – 28 September 2018.

The participants will meet with the President of the Portuguese Parliament Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, Minister of National Defence Jose Alberto de Azeredo Lopes and the Chief of General Staff of the Portuguese Armed Forces Antonio Silva Ribeiro. They are also scheduled to visit the Portuguese Armed Forces’ Joint Military Operations Command and the Portuguese Navy.

In the course of their stay in Madrid the participants will also meet with the President of the Spanish Congress of Deputies Ana Pastor, Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Spain Margarita Robles, and take part in the Third Global Special Operation Forces Symposium and visit the Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC).
