National Assembly Deputy Speaker Becic Meets with Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin
In the course of his visit to Bucharest, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation MA Igor Becic met with Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin.
The parliamentarians also discussed the importance of fighting terrorism, especially in the context of the acts perpetrated by the Islamic state.
They stressed the need for a comprehensive approach to the fight against terrorism, agreeing that parliamentary diplomacy can greatly contribute to these efforts. They were both pleased by the reforms and results achieved by the Serbian Government and Prime Minister Vucic’s contribution to keeping peace and stability in the region. Deputy Speaker Becic extended condolences to the families of the victims killed in the terrorist attack on the Russian airplane above Egypt.
