Welcoming the guests, Becic opined that there is good basis, grounded in the true friendship between the two countries, to improve overall political and economic cooperation.
“Cooperation in the fields of education and application of modern technology gives us an excellent opportunity to promote the furthering of relations between our countries”, said Becic.
Brigadier General at the SAR Ministry of Defence S.S. Modise said that the goal of the visit is to explore models and opportunities for successful cooperation especially in the field of IT security. He hopes the visit would open up new prospects and bring the two friendly countries closer together.
Becic briefed the delegation on the duties of the National Assembly’s Security Services Control Committee and the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee which, he stressed ensures the transparency both of the Parliament and the security services.
Speaking of the reform goals of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Becic highlighted the importance of both military policy cooperation and cooperation between the two countries’ companies especially in these times of swift technological progress.
On the behalf of the National Assembly the meeting was also attended by Foreign Affairs Committee Chairperson Aleksandra Djurovic and Dr Vladimir Olic, member of the National Assembly’s Parliamentary Friendship Group with the South African Republic.
On the behalf of the delegation of the South African Republic the meeting was attended by brigadiers general Mninimzi Sizani, Grame Wesley Plint, Mаmpula Hope Tshoke and Johan de Witt.
