National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic Meets with OSCE Secretary General
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
Brnabic and Sinirlioğlu spoke about the additional improvement of the electoral process in Serbia, the reforms the country is conducting as it progresses on the road to the European Union and all issues concerning mutual cooperation.
The Parliament Speaker stressed that the comprehensive support it receives from the OSCE is extremely important for Serbia, especially that concerning the rule of law, human rights and the rights of national minorities.
Brnabic underlined that preservation of peace and stability is in the interest of the entire region and that Serbia is fully committed to it. She also stressed that a strong and well-connected region means progress for all and stagnation of any kind would slow down individual progress.
As this was the first meeting of the Speaker and Mr. Sinirlioğlu since his assuming the post of OSCE Secretary General, Brmbic wished him all the best stressing that she hoped for a successful continuation of the existing exceptional cooperation.
