National Assembly Speaker Calls Elections in Five Local Self-Governments
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic passed the decision to call an election for councillors of Zajecar City Assembly and the municipal assemblies of Vrbas, Odzaci, Kovin and Kosjeric, for 23 April 2017, pursuant to the Law on Local Elections and the Law on Local Self-Government.
The decision to call the local elections shall come into force on the day it is published in the Official Gazette, which also sets in motion the deadline for the electoral activities.
As stipulated by the Law on Local Elections, the elections in Zajecar, Vrbas, Odzaci, Kovin and Kosjeric will reside in the purview of the bodies for the conduct of elections.
