National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Talks to Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin

Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a phone conversation with the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.

The two heads of parliament agreed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia are very good, which the very extensive high-level political dialogue significantly contributes to.

The overall bilateral relations are accompanied by a highly developed and dynamic parliamentary cooperation between the National Assembly and the State Duma realised through the work of the Cooperation Commission.

In the course of the conversation, the officials also discussed the epidemiological situation in Serbia and the Russian Federation and agreed that the return visit of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin to Belgrade should be postponed for March because of it.

Vyacheslav Volodin expressed hope that the parliaments would continue their close cooperation after the elections and invited the National Assembly Speaker to visit the Russian Federation, as well as to take part in the International Forum “Development of Parliamentarism”, to be held in June in Moscow.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic thanked the Chairman for the invitation and said that they would discuss all the details of further cooperation during the meeting in Belgrade.
