National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Visits “Svratiste” Children’s Shelter in New Belgrade

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic visited and distributed Christmas presents at “Svratiste” children’s shelter today.

The National Assembly Speaker said how very pleased he was to have the opportunity to bring a little joy into the lives of children visiting the shelter today, on the eve of the happiest Christmas holiday. For children living in difficult conditions, this is a safe haven where they can feel the warmth of home, socialise, meet peers under the supervision of volunteers, eat a hot meal and take a bath.

Dacic said that in the period leading to the New Year and Christmas holidays, this shelter is visited by the largest number of children, and since it works thanks to donations and volunteers, he called on all the citizens able to provide help to do so in the spirit of holidays and solidarity, as it is truly precious for these children.
