National Assembly Speaker Meets with PABSEC Secretary General

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Asaf Hajiyev.

Brnabic stressed that Serbia remains open to initiatives that strengthen the political and economic ties in the region and contribute to peace, stability and development. She emphasised the importance of cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation in the areas of energy, infrastructure, transport and trade, as well as the role of the parliament in monitoring and supporting joint projects.

The National Assembly Speaker stressed that digital transformation is a key engine of economic development and regional cooperation and artificial intelligence a tool for innovation, better productivity and quality public services.

At the end of the meeting, Brnabic thanked Hajiyev for his personal contribution to the strengthening of the role of PABSEC and said that Serbia would continue to actively contribute to its work and common objectives, especially the preservation of parliamentary democracy.
