National Assembly Speaker Meets with US Ambassador

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill.

As this was Brnabic’s first meeting with Hill since she became Parliament Speaker, both expressed assurances that they would continue to enjoy having a good relationship and cooperation in the future as was the case in her previous post.

Brnabic shared her intentions with Hill to, during her chairmanship of the Parliament, foster dialogue with the opposition, stressing that for tomorrow she had scheduled consultations and invited all the parliamentary groups to take part.

Brnabic stressed that she had also convened a Collegium meeting for Monday so that she could talk with all of the parliamentary groups and the Governmental Working Group for the Implementation of ODIHR Recommendations, about the execution and conduct of said recommendation.

Hill wished Brnabic all the best in her chairmanship of the Parliament and praised her commitment to dialogue with all the MPs.
