National Assembly Speaker Receives Children from Kosovo-Metohija

Children from Kosovo-Metohija visited the Serbian Assembly as part of the Children’s Week and Joy of Europe events.

Parliament Speaker MA Nebojsa Stefanovic told the children that they are the best message of how Serbia is protected and Serbian values and traditions are cultivated. Addressing the children of the southern province, the Speaker stressed that every child should be provided with an equal chance to grow and have a safe future, adequate education and healthcare. If a child is zealous in its studies and schooling, if it is honest and good, it has a future in its country.
“I would like to congratulate your parents on their courage, because you are the best message to everyone of how Serbia is protected and Serbian values and traditions are cultivated. You should know that we are here for you and that we shall endeavour to make your childhood as happy as the childhood of any other child in the country".
The Assembly Speaker told the children to enjoy their school years and all the school subjects no matter whether they like them or not, because those are the moments they shall cherish all their lives. The roughly 200 children from Kosovo-Metohija visiting Belgrade were presented with gift packages and t-shirts bearing the words “My Serbia”.
