The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Serbia Gustavo Trista del Todo and the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Serbia Dimas Jesús Alvarenga Guerra.
National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic emphasised that the three countries enjoy traditionally good and friendly relations, expressing readiness to contribute to the intensification of overall cooperation with both Cuba and Venezuela by strengthening bilateral tries. He reminded the guests that as Foreign Minister he had the opportunity to visit both countries, expressing regret that there had been no exchange of high-level parliamentary visits with Cuba and Venezuela during the current National Assembly legislature.
The Cuban Ambassador said he was very pleased to see the increase in the membership of the current legislature’s PFG with Cuba, hoping it would be as numerous in the next one.
Ambassador Guerra said that Venezuela views Serbia as a friendly country and that it is grateful for the solidarity Serbia has always had for its people. He expressed readiness to strengthen the relations between the two countries through concrete types of cooperation.
At the two ambassadors’ interest, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic informed the guests about the legal deadlines for convening the next parliament and forming the other state bodies.
